EU structural funds for 2014 - 2020: Which funds are available

The available budget for EU Structural Fund Investments in Lithuania until 2020 amounts to € 7.9 bn, of which € 6.7 bn in EU contributions.

Mr. Ramūnas DILBA, Deputy Director of EU Structural Assistance Management Department, Ministry of Finance, presented the EU Funds management system: investing priorities and new...elements of the policy.

Dr. Leona DAMALAKIENE, project manager of Advance Advice, provided the audience with some do’s and don’ts and give some practical tips. What should an entrepreneur do to successfully take part in projects that are co-funded by the EU? How to successfully apply for project funding?

It was also interesting to listen to the experiences of an entrepreneur successful in applying for EU funds: Mr. Donatas KARANAUSKAS, Director of JSC Biomotorai, specialised in recycling used cooking oil as a fuel. He made clear what EU funding can do for small start-up enterprises.
