Outline
In its latest survey (April 2012) on euro introduction in new EU Member States Eurobarometer showed that 55 % of Lithuanian citizens interviewed believe that introduction of the euro has very or rather negative consequences for Lithuania. Some 48 % feel that introduction of the euro would have very or rather negative consequences for them personally. Moreover, 51 % are rather or even strongly against introduction of the euro, while only 14 % would like to introduce the euro in Lithuania as soon as possible.
In co-operation with bnt attorneys-at-law EBN is organising a seminar and panel discussion on the euro introduction in Lithuania on Monday, 10 June 2013, from 2 pm to hear expert opinions and to discuss likely benefits and practical challenges.
The seminar will cover the financial, fiscal, economic, legal, social and political aspects, implications and consequences of introduction of the Euro.
The seminar is divided into two parts with three expert opinions of about 15-20 minutes followed by a panel discussion under the moderation of Mr. Geert Snaet (EBN Board member and General Manager of Holiday Inn).
