From Acorns to Oaks - SMEs Thinking Big

acorn-to-oak.jpgThe European Business Network is delighted to announce a Seminar and panel discussion on November 26 on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, recognising the key role of SMEs in growing European economies.

The seminar will explore topics of practical interest to SMEs and will be taking place as the 2013 SME Assembly meets in Vilnius, current capital of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The panellists include:

  • Policies to foster the competitiveness of Lithuanian SMEs
    Mr Mindaugas Danys, Director, Small and Medium Business Department, Ministry of Economy of Lithuania
  • How the EU supports its SMEs
    Mr Christian Weinberger, Senior Adviser, DG Entreprise and Industry, EU Commission
  • Growing your business in a difficult external environment
    Mr Tom Hayes, Divisional Manager, Micro Enterprise & Small Business, Enterprise Ireland
  • Social Media - a tool for SMEs to Connect, Trade and Grow
    Mr Darius Bagdžiūnas, Director, Gaumina

 
The seminar will take place from 13.00 to 16.00 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Šeimyniškių str. 1, Vilnius and will be followed by a drinks reception. Registration will take place from 12.40.

The working language of the seminar will be English.

Members are welcome to participate free of charge. EBN Members may also register one guest free of charge. The non-member participation fee is LTL 50,-
